National DUI Crackdown Ends AFTER Labor Day

It’s not necessarily news that local and state police departments have been ratcheting up DUI enforcement over the past several years. What’s more is that their efforts have yielded results in the form of lower fatalities as compared to the rates seen as recently as ten years ago.

Specifically. this year’s high enforcement period which began on August 16 will end on September 2, 2013, Labor Day Monday. As such, for those of us celebrating the long holiday weekend in Delaware County or the Main Line should take extra special caution to drive safely and avoid drinking and driving this weekend. Remember the best way to avoid a DUI arrest is to abstain from drinking and driving in the first place.
