Last year the Delaware County DUI Taskforce was very active with sobriety checkpoints and roving patrols throughout the 2012 holiday weekend. It is likely that drivers in Radnor, Newtown Square, Havertown, Marple, Broomall and the entirety of Delaware County can expect a similar show of police presence this coming Memorial Day weekend. Each month there are about 80 to 120 DUI arrests in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. These numbers generally spike during holiday weekends due to an increased incidence of Driving Under the Influence as well as a heightened presence from local and state police forces.
